Journal for Ashley

Hi all! I wanted to do something special for my soon to be daughter-in-law. We live on the other side of the state from her and dont get to see her often. She loves photography journaling...so I thought a journal for her to keep exciting memories leading up to the wedding would be a nice surprise.She hasnt received it yet..mailed out 3 days ago..but I think we are safe if I post it now....

ghosts for the wedding!!

Im making ghosts to add to the floral centerpieces or to just put anywhere! They are stiffened cheesecloth!

The wedding Cake!!!

This is the cake my son and his fiance picked out!! Rather shocking at first...but the more I look at it the more I like it!! It perfectly matchs their personalities!!! (remember when I said they were both into goth?) ...and the best part is...I get to make the cake topper!!!! They also received a very nice wedding gift.....a honeymoon trip to Disney world!!! weird thing is...with this little bit of news I think I realized my baby was really getting married!! I cried all night!

Lady Wildflower

This is the second "plaster painting" done more like a collage...her face is the last thing applied...there is many many layers underneath....much fun but VERY hard on the brushs!!! Have a wonderful Tuesday all..... hugs Alyce

This is a collage acrylic painting..done on a canvas that I put plaster on first....really fun!!Its called.."Sticking your neck out" Ill try to put the 2nd one I did up today!! Happy June !! We almost lost all vegetation last night to heavy freezing!!! Hugs Alyce

Memorial Day...

Ahhhhhhh...the beginning of the summer season.....here it is either cold enough for coats... or warm enough for swimming! This May has been really cold...so this week end is going to be hot! There is never a happy medium!! Steves birthday is on the 26 and we always have a party over the week end...since we moved here and dont know many people..our giant parties are down to just the kids and whomever they bring...this year we will have 5 young people (all in their mid to late 20s) imagine that in my tiny house! We set up tents all over the yard and they camp! Going to be a busy holiday....Enjoy yours..... Hugs Alyce
