This little hummingbird is done with watercolor pencils and is so light my scanner did a terrible job...so I tried taking a picture...results are a little better but still doesnt show the intricacies of the colors! The doll is my "tongue in cheek" Favorite doll...Her name is Miss Lucy Leftover...she lives on my scanner and whenever there is anything left over from another doll that is too small to do anything with..Lucy gets it..or tolerates it...I am also in the process of covering her in tatoos!!

Paying it forward

Hi Gang!! Been a very busy Easter with a houseful of very hungry young adults....spent 3 days in the kitchen ..and I mean all day! Monday was here before I ever sat down! Was enjoyable to see kids from our old hometown....we were the place they went...we always say.."the little ones came at 5:30...(I had a day care)..left at 6:00..bigger kids started filing in at 4:00 and stayed till they were kicked out!" We always had a kid or 2 living with us also...Finally my 2 boys grew up and are out..but we still have a kid living here!! a friend of the boys that moved up here with us... anyway..Easter was nice and tiring..the only thing I dont like is poor Steve seems to just sit and not join in ...I love him so and my heart aches to see him like this..used to be so vibrant! His drugs just put him in another world..and then dont help the pain anyway....I notice my older son treats him differently too...doesnt have patience with him...must hurt him so much...they were so close. OK..enough depressing stuff.... now...I found this on a blog I follow and think its pretty cool!! Who wants to play?? Here's how it works....

Snow again!

April9...been snowing again....for 3 days now!! Thank goodness its not sticking!Lake effect snow sure is different than good old fashioned NE Pa. snow.......Easter in a few days and the grass just turned green......I guess Mr. Easter bunny is used to this:) Kids are coming home Friday for Easter......will be a nice 3 day weekend.....in the meantime Ive been playing....in all mediums! Its such fun to just paint glue cut with no thought behind it! I also joined a group called..Mixed Media and have joined in on some challenges....first was a Georgia O'Keeffe challenge....what a cool lady!!! I am working on a fairy that is part plant now.....also joined Loosening up group with exercises to help in this area.....and an en caustic paint group...I think Ill sit back and learn in this group....and I even went shopping for Easter stuff!!!!! Hope you are all happy and fulfilling your life dreams.....
